Android Central Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. About two weeks ago I suddenly started getting pop up messages asking me to verify my address in case I needed to call 911. Since my tablet is not a phone I tried unsuccessfully to ignore the messages but they would not go away so finally I gave in and entered my address. Now every time my cell phone rings, my tablet rings too! Is this a Samsung update? Or is this my WiFi provider? My cell phone provider is Verizon but the tablet is not included in the cellular plan.

If this is a tablet with the newer Updates and your main phone is also a Samsung (S9 and up), this is the Call/Text Continuity feature. As long as both devices are logged in to the same Samsung account, the feature is enabled, and the main phone is within proximity of the tablet, your tablet will also ring/be able to take calls (and messages if you use the stock messaging app; 3rd party ones are not supported). You can always disable the feature on either device if you want it to stop.
