why does my verizon galaxy s5 break up in speaker mode

voice and audio, same as the first phone Verizon contracted with me... So is this "new" cell phone a reconditioned piece of .....? Worse than the original

Welcome to Android Central! Is it only the sound over your main speaker that's breaking up, or does the other person hear your voice being broken up as well when you speak?
