Why does phone freeze after finish taking video?

When I take a video and hit stop, my phone freezes while it saves video for 10-20 seconds.

Is this common?

Yes. Especially with higher resolution videos. You probably wouldn't notice the save time if you took the video in 640X480.

Not necessarily. Since the phone is capable of only 2160p, a U3 card would be a lot faster than the internal storage, and would easily keep up with the phone. (The glue chips, being many times faster than the storage chips or the SD card, wouldn't make any difference.)

I load vids to my SD card no problem. Was having an issue zooming while filming video and clearing the Google Apps cache fixed it so maybe it'll do the same for you?
