Why does play store not recognizing my email password?

[Android Central Question]

I've had problems with play store now for two days. Yesterday nothing would download (inapp remedies didn't work), today the password l enter is supposedly wrong, the one I've been using for about a year. Hick-ups with gplay are very common and android is not far behind. Who decided apps would no longer be transferrable to SD? Worst decision in the history of everything IT...

Reset it through the web?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you trying to log into a different Google account than the primary one on your phone? You shouldn't have to enter your Google account/password every time you open the Play Store.
