Why does S7 Edge not work with bluetooth during skype call?

I recently started using Skype with my S7 Edge for video calls. The phone is connected to TL86109 phone using bluetooth.

However, the bluetooth connection disconnects once I accept an incoming skype call.

Is that supposed to happen? Should I be able to use a bluetooth device (perhaps a earpiece) when using skype for video calls?

Please help. Thanks.

Yup, that's a Skype thing... It switches to phone audio automatically. Annoying AF. Only works with a wired headset, not BT
