Calendar link for phone number removes trailing # (hash)

Hi there
This has been driving me nuts and really hope someone can help. We use conference call numbers all the time at work. If you're out and about, trying to look up the conference ID number once you're in a call is a pain (especially if you're driving at 70mph on the M40... cough cough) ... so I want to send them out in the following format within the body of the invite (Office 2013):

+442035555555;12345#

This "should" then call the number before the ";" and THEN prompt the user with a message saying

"Send the following tones? 12345#"

However - it strips off the # at the end final number sequence... which means it won't log you in...

Within the invite itself, all the numbers including the # appears ok... so it seems like it's Android or Samsung that's removing the final # when it translates the request to make a call...

If you create a contact in your phone and add the # at the end it works fine - but we can't do that because we use a corporate webex and the meeting ID's change all the time...

Hope you can help!
