In all the benchmarks I've looked at the Edge is lagging slightly behind the plain S7. This is true for the global and the US version. How can this be, given the fact that their processing hardware is identical? What am I missing? Should this be a factor in choosing between the two?

I personally don't look at benchmarks. I look at day to day usage reviews. I honestly just need my phone to work and be snappy in everyday things.

I'm using the flat and like previous person said looking at benchmarks aren't the way to go about deciding on getting a phone. Either phone will be able to deal with what you going to throw at it as they are great phones.
