Why Does the Sound Stop Coming from my Galaxy S4?

About a week ago, my S4 started to cease producing sound out of both the external speaker and headphones. Complete sound stops ceases about twenty to forty-five minutes after the phone is rebooted, and has even stopped functioning as quickly as a minute after in a few cases. I have also begun experiencing problems with the phone freezing on reboot or immediately after reboot, though those problems are not as common and consistent as the sound ceasing. Here are a list of techniques and solutions I have attempted in order to fix this issue:

1. Standard reboot from the power button menu
2. Rebooting by holding down the power button
3. Systematically uninstalling any applications that I thought were causing this problem
4. Removing my Sandisk SD card, because I heard they caused problems with S4's.
5. Performing a complete factory reset
6. Performing a complete factory reset and then running only the applications that were installed on the phone out of the box
7. Running a Lookout security check on the phone
8. Setting up Adapt Sound and checking the settings on the Google App and S Voice
9. Force stopping and turning off Adapt Sound, Google App, and S Voice
10. Trying all these options with and without headphones plugged into the headphone outlet

I'm fairly confident that that is the full list of options I went through. I bought this phone almost two months ago, so it is still fairly new. I have not dropped it, and I even bought an Otterbox phone case for it, so this could not have been a problem caused by physical damage. The speaker and the headphone jack works perfectly fine as well, as I can still use both until the sound stops working. I am currently running my S4 on factory settings, and the only applications I have installed that did not come with the phone are Groupme and Facebook Messenger, since I use those to communicate with friends.

I would appreciate any more suggestions on what I could do to fix this problem. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Man, you've really tried everything that I could think of, and then some. The key thing is that it continues after a factory reset, even without installing any 3rd party apps. The only thing I can think of left to do is to reflash the stock ROM via Odin: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...ide-samsung-how-flash-stock-rom-via-odin.html. I don't think that requires root, so it shouldn't void the warranty. But if I were you, I'd probably contact Samsung and ask for a warranty repair or replacement.
