Why does this happen?

Every once in a while, my S7 edge will loose its data connection. This happened so frequently with my first one that I turned it back in for my 2nd. Both phones were brand new,never used. My 2nd one doesn't do it as much any more, but ive got to check it after taking it off the charger every morning and nake sure its connected. This morning it wasn't. Or it'll be perfectly fine, but after leaving my home for a while, I'll notice no messages or calls coming through so I'll check and, again, the data connection is off. A simple reboot does the trick. But this is odd. Even the Verizon techs are stumped. After swapping out the first phone and it was still happening on the 2nd, they had me do a factory reset, then sent a new sim and another factory reset. It is much better. Now its only happening once or twice a week. I have no Tasker type apps set up. If anyone else had a similar issue or an idea what could be causing this, im open for suggestions. One more thing. Its only the data connection that goes out not wifi or anything else

I had the same issue. I finally figured out that it was wifi calling causing this. For whatever reason when I had wifi calling enabled the data connection would turn off. Since I have disabled it I have not lost data connection

Ok, went to turn off wifi calling, but it wasn't enabled. So im back to square 1.

If it happens on more than one phone then maybe try a new sim card as that is a constant.
