Why doesn't Android have a display zoom feature like iOS?

In iOS you can system-wide set the display to zoom and more or les everything is a little bigger, independent of increasing text size. I find it really helpful. Never been able to find in stock or manufacturer modified Android. Anyone?

Welcome to the forums. What device do you have? You could try enabling the magnification gestures in settings - accessibility.
