why doesn't google messenger back up messages.? - sony z3

why do i loose all my messages when switching between devices. Why does it not back up this content ..whats the fix apart from running a third party backup app.

there is no fix, it's currently something that Google Messenger doesn't offer. You will need to back them up via a 3rd party app.
