Why doesn't my ringback tone play every time when I'm calling someone?

When you call someone, a repeating tone plays that indicates the phone called is ringing. On many of my calls, I don't hear that tone - just silence. Verizon support has not helped. Thank you.

Does it matter if you use a wired or Bluetooth headset, or turn on speakerphone?

This happens quite frequently on my Redmi Note 10 Pro but the call still goes through, so hey ho, not really an issue.
