Why doesn't my S Pen work on the top part of the screen?

S Pen not working on top part of screen

I've endured this problem after I got it and kept it to myself the day I got it because I thought it was merely a bug or glitch. But my main interest in the tablet is the stylus cause I can draw and animate. I had enough and would like to find a solution. The top part of my screen is not responding to my stylus but every other part works fine. I took off my case but it still won't work. Help?

The pen interacts electrically with a separate layer on the screen, it's not a substitute for your finger on the digitizer. A connector could be loose, you could have a screen protector that has something metallic on the top part or the screen or motherboard could be defective.
