Why doesn't my S3 mini go into sleep mode?

[AC Question]

s3 mini won't go into sleep mode

My screen does not get into sleep mode. I tried several thingd.
1.The settings are on 15 sec to go on sleep. The screen tries to get in sleep after 15 seconds but awake right after it.
2.When I press the switch off button the screen goes into sleep for a millisecond and comes back
3: I reseted the firmware. Does not help
Any ideas ?

Welcome to Android Central! Is it in a case? If the case has a cover, the magnet embedded in the cover (for the smartcover function) might be causing some issues. Try taking the case off.

Do you have any apps that might have control over the screen sleep time? Like an eReader app, or a screen brightness control app?

Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. How to boot the Galaxy S3 into Safe mode? | Support | SAMSUNG Levant

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.
