Why doesn't Samsung use Wear OS

Wear OS and the ability to download and use so many 3rd party apps seems better. I can't believe Samsung doesn't use it on their watch. Samsung using Tizen seems terrible. I took it back. For example, Wear OS uses a swype keyboard that's useful. Tizen on the gear watch uses some T9 multi-tap style keyboard crap... it's like using a Motorola flip phone from the 90s! Can someone tell me why Samsung won't use Wear OS on Gear like LG Sport did.

Thanks for the link. That does make since with the increased hardware control. As a programmer I still think the UI on the Samsung watches with Tizen seems generic, low budget feel on high budget hardware.

I feel the complete oppsosite than you. I found wear OS clunky and un-intuitive and feel tizen is more polished. Everything just works great.

I totally agree. Tizen on my Samsung Gear Sport works much more reliability than Wear OS on my previous Moto 360 watch.

I'm guessing they took a look at android wear, which was the google standard back then and they figured they can do a better OS. Fast forward to 2019 and Tizen still out-performs WearOS in more ways than not, so why change?
