Why doesn't the battery on my Samsung S5 tablet fully charge?

My battery on my samnsung S5 tablet does not fully charge

After a night of charging it still shows 53%, and as soon as I disconnect the charger the battery % changes and the screen goes blank after 3 mins. it may say 7% charger your battery, it may say 23% - but I'm unable to use the tablet. Do batteries need to be replaced. the tablet is less than a year old.

Welcome to AC.

As long as your charger, USB lead, and USB port, are all good, it could indeed be that the battery needs replacing. But check those things first.
