Why don't I get notifications on my LG G Pad 7.0 4G LTE when the screen is off?

LG G Pad 7.0 4G LTE - no notifications when screen off

I have an LG G Pad 7.0 4G LTE, but I can't find a category for that. I cannot find a way to keep notifications active when the screen is turned off. I have it set up to recieve texts through Google Voice, and I have Popup Free installed, and it works fine as long as the tablet is active, but if it goes idle and the screen turns off, no new notifications come in until it is turned on again. I can't find any kind of setting for WiFi Always On or anything like that. Is it possible to get notifications while the screen is off?

Welcome to Android Central! What happens if you uninstall Popup Notifier Free, and just let the system notifications work on their own? Maybe Popup Notifier is causing the problem.

Thanks, I think you're right, B. Diddy. I uninstalled Popup Notifier Free and it is working now. I just need to find some new way of getting popup notifications from Google Voice.

How about Floatify Notifications? I haven't tried it, but just thought I'd mention it.
