Why don't I have an option to add a new APN in order to connect to the internet on my Samsung S3?

i don't have an option to add new apn in order to connect to the internet on my samsung s3

when i access settings i go to more settings. click on mobile networks and then on access point names. when in the settings for the access point names there should be an option to add new apn but my samsung s3 doesn't give me that option. is there any way i can fix it? the phone is originally a verizon phone. i use the phone through a different carrier.

Evidently Verizon has locked the feature out of the phone. About all you can try is an APN app (which might or might not work, but there are a lot of free ones, so it's worth a shot) or a custom ROM which allows you to change the APN or add a new one.
