Welcome to Android Central! Home wi-fi network, or public network? If home, are you certain your network was set up correctly? If in public, are you certain the network is actually a valid one? There can be wi-fi networks that are only local, not connected to the web. Or they may be outdated routers that are no longer connected to the internet, but no one bothered to turn them off.
