Why don't my callers get the option to leave a voicemail?

Hi - I have a S6 and still trying to get used to it - I have just seen about Voicemail on here and how to access it but my problem seems to be that if someone calls me and I dont answer it does not give the caller the option to leave a message - how do I set it up so that if I cant get to the phone that the caller can leave a message please

Welcome to Android Central! Which carrier? Search on your carrier's support website for voicemail setup instructions, since they can differ by carrier.

You'll have to call voicemail from your device and set it up. Or you can take it to your carrier and have them help you set it up.
