Why GT-P7500 shows 100% charge when plugged & 2% when unplugged?

For the past 24 hours, I have been trying to charge my tablet which initially at 16% and now has dropped to 2 percent. Every time i plug in the charger it shows a 100% charge just after a few seconds, but the moment i unplug the charger it shows 2% and sometimes even shuts down. No matter how long i leave it to charge, the results are the same. Urgent help needed. PLEASE!

If it’s urgent, it may be best to take it to a repairer for diagnosis. Diagnosis via a forum would be difficult. You may not get helpful replies for a long time, if at all, and then you’d have to test each suggestion.
