Why has a dmc.txt been downloaded from my sd card without my authorisation?

When I went to my downloads folder to see new pdf file I also saw another file, dmc.txt had been downloaded from my sd card 9 minutes prior. The dmc.txt 1kb file was string of numbers and letters of following format xxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxx#xxxxxxxxxxxx.

I dont know what the file is or why its there. I hadnt done or was doing anything else at the time other than reading emails and then downloaded the pdf (on my aging Galaxy Note 4).

Appreciate any info and advice on this dmc.txt file. Cheers

Where did you download the PDF? Maybe they included something extra. 9 minutes though...?

@Vid thanks yeah I read that post. PDF downloaded to normal download folder on phone.

@galactic thanks for your vote of confidence on being perfectly normal. Data modulation channel sounds ok, im just puzzled why it appeared in my download folder downloaded from my sd card. What program/app has the right to write a txt file and download it/itself from my sd card to my phone downloads folder? Do I need to worry further or just write it off as a perfectly normal never happened before data modulation channel glitch?

It appears to be connected with audio. Do you have music files on your SD card?

Yes I have audio and video fies in SD card
