Why has my calendar stopped syncing?

calendar stops working message

Hi, since the latest firmware update, I keep getting the error message "unfortunately calendar has stopped working" and "unfortunately calendar storage has stopped working".
The calendar won't sync or hold events I input. Yet the tablet calendar is working fine.
I've tried everything I've read here and elsewhere, short of a factory reset.
Is it a google calendar or acalendar problem??
Any ideas?

aCalendar works off of Google Calendar, so this is more likely a Google Calendar problem. First, confirm that by going to settings-accounts-google and review what is or isn't set to sync. Unchecking and rechecking the relevant boxes often helps. Clearing caches, clearing data (make sure you are backed up) and restarting the phone usually help. Does trying everything include a cache partition clear from recovery mode? Can be helpful following an OS update.
