Why has my email stopped syncing?

I've got the 6P running 6.0.1

In the past week I've noticed several times that my email stops syncing. I am forced to delete the account and then set it up again.

Any tips? For what it is worth, my email provider is Bell Canada and it is an IMAP account.

Any help would be appreciated.Having to delete my account every day is a pain in the ***.
 
Are you using the Gmail app, or a 3rd party email client app?
 
Try a 3rd party email client like Aquamail, to see if the problem is with the app itself or perhaps with your email's server.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. The wife had sent me some emails, emails were not syncing on phone (2 yahoo accounts). Logged on thru computer and the emails were there. Removed accounts and readded them. Everything seems fine now, regular monthly emails I get (bills, etc) are showing up okay. I also have a Gmail account but I don't really use the Gmail for email.

My phone is stock, running on latest software and also on May update.

Interesting. This just happened to me, but it was only my work Exchange account (through Gmail) that stopped. I tried everything, including uninstalling, but then it would let me re-install. It kept getting hung up on the account verification step. I finally went to our IT department, and they couldn't get it to work, either ... and then if finally did. I asked the guy what he did different, and he said absolutely nothing; he did the same thing he and I had each already tried a dozen times.

Not sure what's up with that; if it had anything to do with a change at my company, or the May update, or what. I've had the phone for more than 6 months, and this has never happened before.
