Why has my galaxy samsung a5 (2017) keyboard gone so small?

So I've just got the Galaxy Samsung A5 2017 (converting from iPhone so I'm pretty clueless) and am learning how to use it.

My keyboard has gone from a normal full sized keyboard to one that's about 2/3 of the size. I learnt the 'one hand mode' thing where you press the home button three times- it seems that when I go back to full size, the keyboard stays the same size as one-handed mode (it even has the arrows either side to move it to either side of the screen).

I literally have tried everything I can think of to get it back to regular size (including 'resetting' the keyboard settings) and it's frustrating me so much- any help at all will be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

If you go into the Keyboard's settings (usually long-pressing the microphone button, where a cog icon is on the corner next to the space bar) you should see a one-handed mode JUST for the keyboard. I believe this is what you activated. You should see a similar button to go back to 'full mode'.
