Why has my LG keyboard stopped working?

LG keyboard doesn't work

I think my phone model is the Optimums LG Pro. It's about two years old. It works perfectly fine in everything else but last night when I was in the middle of a conversation the keyboard didn't appear anymore. I didn't even get a notice. I've restarted the phones several times and the app says it';s restarting but doesn't do anything. I'm not sure how to force stop the app, any help is appreciated.

Try clearing the Cached Data in Settings, Storage.
