Why has my ringtone stopped working?

Ringotne not working.

I've searched extensively and can find similar problems but not exactly what I'm experiencing.

I'm not sure what caused this, but every time I receive a phone call, no matter what ringtone I have chosen, it just makes a single beep. If I miss it I miss the phone call. My text/alert notifications work just fine. Its only my ringtone.

I've gone through all of my settings and have no idea how to fix this issue. I've attempted using different ringtones and nothing works. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Is the ringtone volume turned all the way up? If you go to the Settings>Sound & Notification>Ringtone menu and select various ringtones, does it play a sample for you?

Yes it is. It's hard to explain. But all I hear is a single bleep. Its not volume that is the issue. Maybe I'll just have to restore my phone. And each and every ringtone plays the correct sample. It doesn't matter what I choose.

Tried, no luck. Thanks though. Looks like I'll just have to restore.

Edit: Got it fixed. Did a live chat with Samsung Customer service. They had me enter safe mode and determined it was a 3rd party App causing the issue. So I deleted my most recent downloads and voila!
