Why has the estimated battery use from full been reduced a lot?

A couple of months ago, fully charging my S7 would give an estimate of around 50-60 hours of usage. But now, a full charge would reach 15-16 hours max on the estimate usage hours from max. How did it come to this?

Welcome to Android Central! The estimate is based on your usage. If you're using the screen a lot (or some other battery-intensive process), the battery charge estimate will decrease. If you're not using much screen, it will be longer.
