Hi All, I bought 1 Honor 8 for my wife and she got it on Dec 23rd. Paid $289 on Amazon. Today the price is $329.

We like the phone and want to buy more but wondering why the price jump.

Full retail is $400. There are sales from time to time to lower the price, lowest i have seen is $223 for the 64gb.

Likely 329 is going to be used as a mark to show discounts against this month with the honor flash sales planned throughout the month.

Yeah, holiday promos is why. Before November, there were no sales from time of release to then (at least 2 months).

It would be interesting how ZTE and honor complete... If there would be a price war since ZTE has the blade v8 which is specd very similarly at about the same time

There were Christmas sales and such for a while. I bought mine maybe a week and a half before Christmas and it was $100 off. I'd just keep checking sites like Newegg for sales! Good luck!

Keep checking forums too... Myself and others try to keep the forum readers apprised of sales.

Also try swappa.com.

You can often find brand new phones there being sold by individuals.

Looks like all the competition prices are back to pre holiday prices and Honor moved back to MSRP.

Although not as cheap as the holiday prices, Amazon is still selling them below retail prices. Best Buy will also price match Amazon if you would rather buy from a brick and mortar store.
