Why I'm not a fan of modern smartphone photography

I guess this is the future of smartphone photography, where you press a button and the phone gives you an image it thinks you want instead of the shot you actually took.

This is part of why I'll miss LG and have zero desire for a Google or Samsung device. I don't want, much less need, all the computational photography gimmicks being added to phones.

I can see what you are saying. Sometimes you just want a point and shoot or the camera might deliver some unnecessary frills to your subject. Did the Pixel 2 line do this as well? I thought my photos looked pretty natural with my Pixel 2 -- but then again, I'm not a photographer. :)
