Why I'm unable to free space on my internal memory of HTC 816 DESIRE?

New marshmellow update came and I started installing the update but it required space of 1 GB on my internal memory .I cleared each and every app and everything.There's nothing left on the internal memory.The downloading completed it wasn't installing.So I cancelled and tried again 2 times. All the times this error occured and the system update file was filling the internal memory. Now when I tried again it says insufficient memory nad there is no data on my internal memory.And it show 7.91/8.00 GB is occupied.

Welcome to Android Central! When you say you cleared each app, do you mean you uninstalled them?

You may need to do a factory reset, then install the update. Make sure apps don't install automatically from Google Play Store after the factory reset.

I have the same issue. Most space is occupied by "Other" and keeps growing.
