i don't see any reason for people to buy it on amazon when they can buy it from google play cheaper?

No idea. Amazon might be doing it cause they're a trusted name so people will pay more to get it for them. That's my only guess.

Well, Amazon is not selling them. "Tromo Electronics" is selling them through Amazon. Why they are asking 15%+ more than on Play, I have no idea.

They're probably not a supplier; also Google Play charges for shipping, and typically Amazon will not, but third party vendors will so my best guess would be they bought it from Play and are able to get it to you faster than the play store can, so you're paying for speed.

I'm thinking they charge more because Nexus 10 is a competitor to Kindle Fire.

No...it really isn't. Nexus 7 maybe, but the Nexus 10 is larger and more expensive.

If they were being sold directly from Amazon, I'd have to image the price would be the same (or lower). Even if these N10's on Amazon were the same price, I'd be hesitant to buy without investigating "Tromo Electronics" beforehand.

Woman says to butcher "how come you charge $8.00 a pound for steak while the shop down the street sells it for $6.00?

The butcher says "well why don't you buy it there?"

She says "He never has any"
