Why is Chrome Sync crashing In 10seconds?

Chrome Sync Crash In 10seconds

S5 running Lollipop. Great update however

Now every time i load up chrome. If crashes within 10 seconds using about 1Gb of RAM and 50% cpu. so chrome is totally unusable for me.

What i have done is
exported all bookmarks from chrome desktop
deleted all sync data
removed chrome completely from desktop and laptop
fully reinstalled android on my phone
reinstalled chrome on devices
imported bookmarks via desktop
let them all resync

Still got the issue. Huge memory leak and crashing.

Anyone with similar/the same issue? Any fixes?

Welcome to Android Central! When you say you reinstalled Android, do you mean you did a factory reset, or reflashed the firmware?

If you haven't already, try a cache partition wipe as well: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10404
