Why is data being used in the background from Profile Sharing on s8? Can this be disabled?

I noticed in my data usage (over wifi) that the profile sharing has used something like 26gb of data and I've never shared anything using this profile sharing app/service. Can someone please shed some light as to why this is happening? Is there a way to disable it? I would prefer it if apps weren't using 26gb of data without my permission.. any help appreciated, thanks.

Contacts>3 dots upper right>settings>toggle off profile sharing
