Why is Facebook app not working after system update?

Hello. I have just recently purchased Samsung Galaxy S8 and all was well until I installed the system update. Since then everything runs slower and the Facebook app plays up. Videos on my newsfeed appear blurry and switch between focused and then unfocused. This doesn't happen when I log into Facebook via my internet tab. I have tried to clear cache on Apps for Facebook and have tried to update uninstall reinstall etc but the problem is still there. This didn't happen before I updated my phone's software. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! First, do a cache partition wipe, which can be helpful after a major system update: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-34311

If Facebook is still slow, then go to the App Manager, select Facebook, then Storage, then Clear Cache/Data. Now open Facebook again and log back in -- is it still slow?
