Why Is fb messenger making my screen go crazy.

I've sent some songs to my friend using messenger. I sent them via my files. Highlighted them. Clicked share. Clicked messenger. Clicked the friend. Clicked send. Anyway. They were delivered. But when I went to play them back my screen would start going on and off making it almost impossible to click anything. Eventually i managed to pause it. And it wasn't just an app freeze. It continued outside the app. But it happened the same every time. And it happens for her too. What's wrong? My phone is a smj337a 2018
