Why is Google Play not working?

I finally updated my LG G Stylo and now all of the apps I had on my SD card aren't installed and I have a notification that says "Google Play services won't run unless you update Google Play services" but then when I go to open the Google Play app it says "Unfortunately Google Play Store has stopped"
What the hell do I do? Please help I also keep getting a pop up saying "Unfortunately google play services has stopped"

Welcome to Android Central! Google Play Services should auto-update in the background, independent of the Play Store. Leave it connected to wi-fi or mobile data and wait about 15-20 minutes to give it time to update. Then reboot. Does it keep happening?
