Why is it that i can only hear in one ear with the headphone that came with the package?

I have a Samsung s9+, have had it for a few months

I think so. I have never noticed it before

Do those headphones do the same thing in other devices? Have you tried other headphones in your S9+?

Also, make sure there's no debris in the jack. Use a can of compressed air to blow out the jack.

I have noticed depending on what type of ear buds I use or headphones, some will play out of both and some will only play out of one.

If you put those headphone plugs side by side, do the contact rings line up exactly, or are they a little off?

The ones I have they line up exactly. What I'm saying is some are made to play out of only one side during calls and some are made to play out of both.
