Why is music choppy

[Android Central Question]

It seems that after my latest Samsung update at the end of March 2018 my music sounds like it is skipping. After about 30 seconds of playback the music becomes choppy or sounds like it is skipping. It does not matter if I am streaming or using internal storage. All music playback sux. If I listen to a song on YouTube it is fine.
