Why is my bluetooth turning off and won't come back on, Galaxy Note Edge?

When using my phone's bluetooth with another device, headset, vehicle, etc, the bluetooth will cut off on the phone. When I attempt to cut the bluetooth back on, it will not even cut on. This has rendered my phone virtually useless to me as I need the hands free capability. Please advise.

It sounds like a hardware problem - the Bluetooth adapter is defective.
