Why is my brand new phone screen acting up?

[Android Central Question]

I had just opened the box yesterday containing the brand new phone. It is an LG Rebel 4. Remember, this phone is BRAND SPANKING NEW. But after a bit of using it, the screen had a weirdish green tint to it, and it was getting kind of hard to see. Every time I shut the screen off for a while then turn it back on, it's back to normal, then it starts turning green again.

Then when I woke up this morning, the screen looked like I had dropped it, but I didn't. It had this white, pixelated strip across the screen. Why is it doing this? This phone is brand new, there is no reason as to why it should be doing this. How can I fix it?

I would return it back to where you purchased it .
