Why is my camera stopped working?

I have the HTCMINI 2 and when I touch the camera icon on the home screen, the screen goes black, then back to the home screen page!?

Try Safe Mode, to test whether a third-party app is causing trouble.

Otherwise, try Settings, Apps, All, Camera, select Clear Cache and Clear Data, then Power Off and Restart the Device.
