Android Central Question
Hello, I recently went through the process of rooting my pixel 2 XL,
I unlocked the boot loader, installed magisk, patched the boot file and flashed it onto my device with this return:
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'boot_b' (25572 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.546s]
writing 'boot_b'...
OKAY [ 0.241s]
finished. total time: 0.791s
However, magisk and another app is telling my I am not rooted, I wonder if i missed something.
I was having some problems before this in flashing the patched boot may have flashed incorrectly, I am running Oreo 8.0.0. I have updated my platform tools, and I downloaded the right factory build image from google, I also patched the boot.img file and not any of the other image files. I have tried changing the USB cable and port.
