Why is my Galaxy Note (GT-N5100) constantly restarting?

Galaxy note (GT-N5100) constant restarting

Hello, I am not very tech savvy and need some help!
I have owned my galaxy note for 6 months now, no previous issues.
Yesterday it started constantly restarting, it turns on, goes to Samsung opening screen, and turns off, then repeats over and over again.

i have tried letting the whole battery drain and trying again but still seems to be in this funk.

Please help me!

Welcome to Android Central! Could be a number of issues. A failing battery can sometimes do this. Did you charge it up all the way to 100%, preferably with the device powered down?
