Why is my Galaxy S4 staying on 3G instead of 4G?

For a few weeks it hasn't been using the 4G. Is there a setting I can change?

There is but that might not affect you. Have you ever seen your phone on 4G? Which network are you on?

Finally, to check the settings, go into the Mobile Network/Data section of your phone and there should be options to use different frequency bands there.

I have had 4G - Verizon, but it just goes to 3G. I show in my settings that I have options of Global, LTE/CDMA, GSM/UMTS. It's on Global, but still no 4G.

Got it fixed. Needed to reboot.....hadn't in a few weeks.

Glad you got it sorted out. If it happens again, try to set it to the LTE setting.
