Why is my Galaxy S8 duplicating the first letter of each sentance - Fixed

When I type on my Samsung Galaxy S8 cellphone, especially while using OneNote, I get duplicate letters on each of the first lines while in indented, list mode, after a paragraph (or return). In researching this site, this is a known problem with older software and the gingerbread keyboard. I would expect this to be fixed before this version of the phone (and in OneNote if that is the cause).

Examples:

- TThe quick brown fox....
- LListed mode of a sentence...

Non-list sentence doesn't create a duplicate letter.

Can anyone help define the problem and / or a solution?
Thanks in advance,
jim

Installing and switching to Swiftkey worked and the keyboard is already working better...thanks!

Try switching to Gboard or Swiftkey keyboards.

I, and others, have been disappointed with Sammy's.
