Why is My Headphone Jack Not Working?

[AC Question]

I got a note 5 last night. i tried to use my bose IE 2 headphones and i can "feel" the plug isnt going all the way in. I then tried an old pair of IE headphones and it works fine. the only differences between the two are the pair not working has two red rings around the plug, the pair that is working has three rings around the plug.

anyone ever see this before?

If you are using a case, then remove it and try again

Same here, just noticed. Mine doesn't work with bose or any plug for that matter. It was working before latest update. So my guess would be software. Anyone know for certain? Btw sorry note 5. No case either

Ok so sorry for the post. Fixed mine with some compressed air and viola. Hopefully this helps you out aswell.
