Why is my HTC M9 screen dark?

my htc m9 screen is dark

What do I do? My HTC m9 screen is dark. I can still get notifications and other stuff as if it were on.

Welcome to Android Central! What were you doing when the screen went out? Have you tried forcing a power down (by pressing and holding the Power button for 15-20 seconds), waiting about 5 seconds, then powering on again? If the screen never lights up but you feel the phone vibrate and hear other tones, then the screen has probably failed. Since the phone is presumably pretty new, either bring it back to the store and ask for an exchange, or contact HTC for warranty repair or replacement.

I was out running at the local track and as I was heading home that's when it started to mess up
