Why is my lg stylo 4 fading?

Last night I was watching a show on my phone via YouTube and when i took it to rest and went back, it was faded our almost like there was a piece of notebook paper in the screen fading forward. What does this mean? What can i do to reverse this?

Is the battery charged? Had the screen shut off? It all depends on how long a time this was and how long you have screen shutdown set for.

Yes. Generally it fades after a few seconds of my screen being on but it comes back after I lock the screen.

Do you have Adaptive Brightness turned on? What if you turn it off?
