If you tap the screen or hit the power button does screen come on ?My phone does that as well! I have the LG V40 thinq.
I used to have the Galaxy S6, and it would stay on if on speaker phone and looking at phone, and if at ear screen would go black, but come back on once I removed from ear.

Have you tried safe mode?I do have a case on, always have a case. But no extra screen protector, just what was already on there when purchased.
I will check out the link you posted, thanks!
I do not know what will happen on Sunday when we talk to our son (away at college) when I have my phone on speaker phone when he calls, since I had a software update on May 14.

No not yet, but I will, thanks.
Case fits very well. But will try taking it off as well. Glass completely clean, including the sensor.
Thanks, I will give it all a try tomorrow.
Did you try safe mode?Makes no difference at all. I guess it is just the way the phone works. It is not a major problem.

My question is, not being knowledgeable about LG phones, is there a "Keep Screen on when looking at screen" feature like many Samsung phones have, and if it does, is that feature turned off, somehow? I know this has been a feature since at least the S5 series, and the S6 would have had that, it seems.
@loekie32, I hope the question I asked is relevant to your phone.
No, not yet. I never know when our son calls, different times every Sunday. Will put in safe mode now and see what happens.....
